The Studio

The fun part
of getting ready.

Everyone deserves to walk out feeling like the most confident version of themselves.

The Bronze Social started with one belief: this should be something you look forward to, not something you fit in. Warm light, a drink in your hand, someone who actually asks what the occasion is.

Every formula is blended in the room — matched to your undertone, your skin, and how deep you actually want to go. Nothing off a shelf, nothing one-size-fits-all, and never a shade you didn't ask for.

The Fine Print That Matters

Prep & Aftercare

Ninety percent of a great tan happens before you walk in and after you walk out. Here's the whole thing.

Before Your Tan

24–48 Hours Ahead
  1. Shave or wax at least 24 hours before — never the same day.
  2. Exfoliate thoroughly, focusing on knees, elbows, ankles and hands.
  3. Skip lotion, oil, deodorant, makeup and perfume the day of.
  4. Arrive with clean, dry, product-free skin.
  5. Wear loose, dark clothing and flat shoes to your appointment.
  6. Handle nails, lashes and hair appointments beforehand.

After Your Tan

The Next 7–10 Days
  1. Wait the full development window before your first rinse.
  2. First rinse: warm water only, no soap, no scrubbing.
  3. Pat dry with a towel — never rub.
  4. Moisturize daily, morning and night, to stretch the fade.
  5. Avoid long baths, hot tubs, chlorine and heavy sweating.
  6. Skip exfoliating products and retinols until you're ready to fade.

She made our girls' night feel special — the champagne toast, the laughs, the music. She made sure everyone had the perfect shade and felt comfortable the whole way through. The tans looked amazing in photos and we got compliments all night.

Questions

Good to know.

How long does a spray tan last?
Typically 7–10 days, depending on your skin and how you care for it. Daily moisturizing is the single biggest factor — clients who moisturize morning and night consistently get the longer end of that range.
Will I look orange?
No. Orange happens when a formula's undertone fights your skin, so every tan formula here is curated to match your natural undertone instead — that's what prevents it. From there you're given an individual set time, meaning how long the solution stays on before you rinse, based on your undertone and the intensity you're after: light, natural, dark, or anywhere in between.
How far in advance should I book before an event?
At least 48 hours before, every time. Your tan needs a full 24 hours to develop to its final color, and the second day gives you a normal shower and a little margin in case anything needs adjusting. Two to three days out is the industry standard for exactly this reason — book any closer and you're wearing a tan that hasn't finished becoming itself. If you're a bride, add one appointment to that: a trial tan about a month before the big day. That's where we find the shade that works against your actual dress, your makeup, and how you photograph — then lock in the formula and set time, so nothing about your color is still being decided the week of the wedding.
What do I wear during the appointment?
Arrive in the loosest, darkest thing you own. Long loose pants and a loose long-sleeve shirt are ideal — anything that clings can press against fresh solution and cause sections to develop unevenly, and dark fabric matters because color can transfer before it fully sets. On your feet, something flat and open: flip-flops or slides, never closed-toe. Skip socks, and skip the bra on the way home if you can, since straps and waistbands leave marks. Come product-free — no makeup, moisturizer, perfume, deodorant, or jewelry. Clean, dry, bare skin is what lets the color grab evenly. During the tan itself, tan lines are your adventure. Disposable thongs, full-coverage panties, and a cap for your hair are all provided. Fully nude gives the most even coverage, but if that's not for you, wear dark undergarments you feel good in. It's worth thinking about what you'll actually have on at your event — strapless, open back, swimsuit — and matching your lines to that.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. The solutions used are UV-free and made with naturally derived ingredients. Most reactions people have to sunless tanning trace back to additives like synthetic fragrance, parabens, or mineral oil rather than to DHA itself — the active ingredient, which reacts only with the outermost layer of skin and doesn't absorb any deeper than that. A few things help sensitive skin along. Pause topical actives for several days beforehand — retinol, AHAs and BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, vitamin C, and topical acne treatments all sensitize the surface and can make color develop unevenly. If you take a prescribed medication that affects your skin, don't stop it on our account: check with your doctor first, and just let us know so we can plan the formula around it. If you have dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, or any skin condition, tell your artist when you book — it genuinely changes how your formula gets curated. Tanning is skipped over broken skin, open wounds, fresh sunburn, or an active flare-up; those need to heal first. And if you have a known allergy or especially reactive skin, ask for a patch test. It takes 24 hours and settles the question.
What's the cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment. Inside that window, 25% of the service fee is charged to cover the spot that was held for you. It isn't about being difficult. A spray tan is a one-at-a-time appointment in a small studio, and a slot that opens up a few hours out almost never gets filled — especially on a busy week. Twenty-four hours is the standard notice across the industry because it's roughly what it takes to offer the spot to someone waiting for it. Life happens, though. If something genuinely unavoidable comes up, reach out — it's a conversation, not an automatic penalty.
Where is the studio?
The studio is located in Liberty Hill, and the address is given upon appointment confirmation. It's a private, appointment-only space rather than a storefront, so it isn't listed publicly — you'll get the address, parking notes, and anything else you need as soon as your booking is confirmed.
How far do you travel?
Yes. Liberty Hill and North Austin are both home base, and mobile appointments cover anywhere within about 20 miles of those areas — which takes in most of the towns in between. If you're further out than that, reach out anyway. Tell us where you are and what you're planning, and we'll let you know whether the travel works and what it would cost.
